Serving businesses and communities in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom and New Hampshire’s North Country (Carroll, Coös, and Grafton Counties).

NCIC was founded to serve businesses and communities in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom (Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties) and New Hampshire’s North Country (Carroll, Coös, and Grafton Counties). This two-state, six-county area, reaching from the Canadian border south to the middle of New Hampshire is decidedly rural. Fewer than 240,000 people live in an area larger than the entire state of Connecticut with approximately 10% of that population designated as living below the US national poverty standards.

While this area and its economic challenges remain our focus, some of NCIC’s services are now available statewide in both Vermont and New Hampshire. Please contact us to determine if services are available in your area, as program geographic limits are subject to change.
