Driven by engineered performance innovations, Matt Michaud and Katie Mros have developed advanced ski technology to create optimal skis for East Coast conditions. Their skis are stable, due in part to increased torsional stiffness. Thanks to this competitive advantage, their company, Sandwich Tech Skis is experiencing exceptional growth.

Since the company’s inception, operations and production have been based out of a 400 sq. ft. workspace in the basement of their Littleton, NH home. Consistent increases in production volume made identifying a larger facility a priority.

Other local businesses recommended they contact NCIC Business Resource Manager Mollie White for assistance and guidance. They utilized NCIC’s organizational coaching and financing capabilities to solidify financing and identify a new facility.

They purchased a 4,400 sq ft building in Lancaster, NH that was ideal for their needs and preparations are underway. They hope to begin production from the new facility early in 2016.

Matt and Katie recognize the additional space and increased production will bring other challenges for the small business. The couple is already planning to work with NCIC’s Business Support services to find a vendor to analyze and improve their tax filing procedures. They are also planning to attend NCIC no-cost QuickBooks seminars.
