Position Title:              Analyst & Technical Assistant

Reporting To:              Senior Project Manager

Classification:              Non-Exempt

The Analyst & Technical Assistant provides analytical and technical support for NCIC’s lending, financial packaging, grant technical assistance, and grant project management team members.


Primary Activities ~ Lending

  • Financial analysis and reporting related to borrower’s, applicant’s projections, performance and status
  • Provide input and assist in the preparation of applications, offerings, and reports
  • Track and maintain tickler systems to ensure required documents are received and filed according to NCIC’s policies and procedures and in accordance to applicable agencies requirements
  • Document and track status of restricted loan funds, delinquent, impaired and troubled debt, risk ratings, legal documents, loan and credit files, credit bureau reporting, risk ratings, site visits and loan servicing requests
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of a common trust with businesses, agencies and communities in order to promote NCIC’s resources
  • Provide assistance and backup for loan accounting and loan servicing

Primary Activities ~ Grant Project Management & Property Management

  • Manage grant funded projects and programs as assigned including implementation of project, contracts, project status reports, invoices and funder reporting in accordance with NCIC procedures
  • Maintain and customize database programs and statistics to provide staff needed data entry, analysis, data exports and report formats
  • Research on-line funding opportunities and assist with timely submission of grant applications as requested

Organizational Participation and Strategy

  • Work in both St Johnsbury, VT and Lancaster, NH offices as directed
  • Integrate with and manage relationships, including clients, the NCIC team and partners who add value to cohesively deliver ongoing, positive results
  • Properly develop and maintain contact information and the records of business activities including business follow up for all programs
  • Work with NCIC staff to create an ever-improving customer service and customer care system so as to continuously improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be assigned by the President’s team and overseen by the Senior Project Manager


  • Must maintain confidentiality
  • Able to accurately review and understand tax returns and business financial reports
  • Strong financial background and experience in managing budgets
  • Experienced with computerized data entry and record keeping
  • Able to understand and follow regulations and procedures
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • History of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Time management skills including ability to coordinate multiple project timelines and strict deadlines
  • Analytical Skills
  • Experience with federal funding agencies and foundations a plus
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Self-directed
  • Excellent computer skills especially excel


  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Finance) or equivalent work experience
